Location: Kohila township is a gate to Rapla county. Here is the border of Harju and Rapla counties, and it symbolises also the border of city outskirts and rural area. Kohila was formerly a part of ancient Harju county. It situates in the north of Rapla county on the both sides of Tallinn-Rapla road.
Population: 6912 as at 1.01.2009
Area: 230,2 km²
There is one town, two small towns and 22 villages in Kohila township.
More than 3500 inhabitants live in Kohila town. Approximately a hundred of babies are born in the township every year.
